  Business VoIP Phones 

  snom Technology, a provider of IP desktop phones and IP communications solutions has just introduced to the market an all new line of business VoIP phones that are designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) that require an enterprise-class desktop phone on a smaller budget.

  The new 7xx series of business VoIP phones include the 720 and 760 phones that combine the multiple programmable buttons and standard business functionality of the snom 3xx series with the functionality, styling and Gigabit Ethernet switch found in the snom 8xx series.

  “The new snom 7xx line of VOIP business phones addresses a key need in the market for an affordable enterprise-class phone with the capabilities and flexibility to fit businesses of any size,” said snom COO Mike Storella (News – Alert), in a statement.

  “We believe the snom 720 and 760 should have broad appeal to customers requiring an endpoint that has exceptional design, performance and advanced IP communications features while still retaining the convenience and utility of a traditional business phone,” Storella added.

  Important features of the 7xx line of the business VoIP phones include a Gigabit Ethernet switch, automatic provisioning, wireless LAN connectivity and the company’s wideband high-definition voice quality. Both phones can transfer data at a speed of 1000Mbits/s without slowing down the network or a connected PC, company officials said.

  In addition, Bluetooth connectivity is provided via an optional USB stick, allowing business customers to use a compatible Bluetooth headset with their 7xx series phone. The 760 business VoIP phone features two USB ports for additional connectivity options. The 760 also includes a 16-key programmable busy lamp field and four context-sensitive keys.

  The 720 business VoIP phone strikes a simple design with a four-line monochrome graphical display, as well as 18 fully configurable function keys and four variable keys, aimed at managing and contacting large groups of people rapidly. Supporting all standard business VoIP calling features such as an address book with 1,000 possible entries, speed dialing, URL dialing, ringtone selection and LED call indication, the 720 delivers a cost-effective communications solutions to SMEs.

  Tremendous Growth Predicted for EMEA Business Telephone Systems 

  Market studies regarding IP business telephone systems market have been carried out by International Data Corporation or IDC (News – Alert). More than $1.5 billion will be spent by businesses within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa or EMEA on IP business telephone systems by 2015. Firms were urged to integrate UC tools into IP after replacing their obsolete voice platforms.
  As the technology becomes even more specialized, many UK firms are however not convinced regarding the suitability of systems. In order to ensure that the systems genuinely meet their needs, many firms are outsourcing to business telephony firms.
  A growth rate of approximately 11.9 per cent in five years has been predicted by IDC’s data for the total business telephony equipment sales from EMEA. In spite of taking full advantage of technological advances like business VoIP, controlling overheads has been a challenge for UK businesses. IP business telephone systems are now being advised by Business Communication and IT support specialists, SynergyPlus. SynergyPlus however feels that not all clients are aware of all their options.

They need the flexibility but it should be configured to be scalable according to their operational needs.”
  Small- and medium-sized companies are able to access the communications markets through innovative solutions like VoIP for business and IP BXs. More flexible working and reduced costs is allowed with the rise of unified solutions.
  The spokesperson said, “We would advise clients to carefully consider the whole package. Of course they should expect to get high quality business calls, but with the right business telephone systems they can also substantially enhance their day to day operations.”
